The UCF Gay, Lesbian, and Bisexual Student Union is a fellowship of students who share the common interest in GLBT concerns. GLBSU was established in 1976 as the Florida Technological University Gay Student Association. The goals of GLBSU include instilling people with a sense of pride and self worth and promoting a better understanding of the GLBT community.

As part of UCF, the GLBSU strives to eliminate homophobia on campus and in the community, and to mend the detrimental effects of hate, ignorance, and intolerance towards gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people. GLBSU recognizes an obligation to educate, advocate, support, and serve; and it provides GLBT students with opportunites to learn, volunteer, take action, and enhance their own lives together.
